Sharing how I am styling my ever-growing bump at 37+ weeks by layering some favorite minimalist basics, including a black midi dress, white structured bag, and a soft gray scarf. Read on for all the details and outfit links!
Styling The Bump At 37+ Weeks
Kicking off a new week with some monochrome, minimalist vibes… are you surprised (ha, ha)? To say that I have a love of black, gray, and white is an understatement; and during the 37+ weeks of my pregnancy things clearly haven’t changed much. I love how a simple black midi dress can be dressed up or down AND has a flattering effect… bun in the oven or not! With an ever-changing-shape, reaching for simple and affordable pieces that stand the test of time and make me feel more confident throughout pregnancy has been a must. Oh how my belly seems to be changing rapidly as of late, which is so exciting as my due date is just over two weeks away! However, as you experienced mamas and mamas-to-be know, while this is exciting it can be uncomfortable at times; so stretchy, comfy and flattering clothing is like a light shining down from heaven, lol. This particular dress is actually one I wore to my baby shower (dressed up, of course – more on that soon!), but here I elected to dress it down with ankle boots, a cool white minimalist bag, and a soft and simple gray scarf. Outfit links may be found below!
My Favorite Gray Scarf
This scarf, which I scored through a new social shopping app called Luv.It, has seriously been one of my best purchases of the season. Not only is it comfy and warm, it goes with EVERYTHING; and as simple as it seems, I feel like it makes a big impact. It is made of a soft alpaca wool which is perfect for winter, but it is mid-weight enough to carry through early spring. Here I wore it draped for an elongating effect, but you can also see how I styled it HERE in another recent blog post.
The Luv.It App
If you are curious about Luv.It (where I found this scarf), this is a really great app where you can create a social shopping network, shop and discover trending brands and unique products, and collect cash back on your own purchases as well as those made by others who buy something you have “Luv’d.” You can find new and trending lifestyle, home, and fashion products – like this gray fringe scarf – from up and coming designers. I am also really excited about a cowhide rug I recently found through the app and I cannot wait to share with you once I receive it! The Luv.It app is seriously fun to use and FREE for download HERE… you can check out what I am “Luv’ing” there and see the collections I have created on the app (some for baby too – so fun!) by following along with me: @alittlecasual. You can also learn more about the app in one of my other recent posts HERE.
